Fr the cost of a driving school alone, you could attend the two day driving school and the Saab Owners Convention. Having done one of these before, I cannot say enough about the amount you car learn about performance driving under such conditions. The max attendence will be 60 cars.

( fyi .. At the 2k event, the parts tent alone was something not to be missed... and while there was no parts tent at the 2001 SOC, there will be one this year... for those not in the know, this is a container of inventory brought up from the Saab parts dist center..)

Just watching some of the other Saabs run on Limerock Park in 2k was amazing... and while the top end on Limerock was reported to be 120 for the stright ( my NA 97 900 topped out at 109 ) that was due to the short straight... at Putnam Park, my guess is the straight is at least twice as long as Limerock.. :^) Having poured over the vidoe on my pre-soc site, I can see where this track will be major fun, with a huge expanse of track to spread out on.. and only 60 of us, in 2-4 groups... which means 15-30 on the track at one time..

Those at the 2000 SOC also got to see the Pikes peak car in person, as well as a few other hot one-offs. If you are on the fence, don;t be.. .thsi will be my second SOC, but certainly not my last and track events with fellow saabites.. .well they are far and few between... :)
