I was looking for something to do, so I started thinking that I could use
this extra 9000 Aero ECU that I have laying around in my 1998 900SET. The
900 has the lowly 185hp box, and the 205 "HO" box just doesn't seem worth
the effort and $400, when you can get a full tuner box for around that $.
The Aero box is rated at 225hp in the 2.3L motor, so it should be good for
something - I'm thinking 210-215hp and a whole lotta torque.

So I ordered the Saab Trionic manuals for each car and compared wiring
diagrams and pinouts. There are only a handful of changes...mostly related
to stupid OBDII functions (did you know there was a gas tank pressure test?). The balance of the 70-pin connector in/outs and signal parameters
are identical.

Anyway, I'm up for cutting a couple wires and plugging the Aero box into
my SET, but I'm fishing on the Perf BB for a good reason why *not* to do
this...anyone?
