No real way to improve the transmission itself...

Maybe go to a junkyard, get a 5-speed from a wrecked 900, and swap it.

Otherwise... (I'm assuming you have a naturally aspirated 900)
-NGK spark plugs (EV version)
-Magnecor 8mm ignition wires
-K&N open intake filter kit
-Headers (MSS/Swedish Dynamics)
-2 1/4" catback exhaust system (hiflow catalytic converter, hiflow muffler, etc)
-remove the screens from your AMM

there are alot of performance modifications you can look into.. that's just a few off the top of my head

don't let the 900S blues get you down (if you have one?)
I had an 89 900S, which I sold to my cousin, to make room for my new 90 SPG. I saw my 89 900S today (aka the "white SPG"), and I'm jealous! I turned it into such a nice car.. didn't fit my go-fast needs though!
