I have an 88 spg. I just purchased a MSD BTM. I’m not electronically minded. So, I don’t want to install this thing and fry the heck out of everything. When I opened the box, I was a little concerned. Made me want to return it and get the AID. But what the heck, all the guru’s on this board say it’s the best way to go. So here are my ?’s.
1). Do I keep the wires that are now going to the coil connected? If not which one do I disconnect?
2). Black wire coming out of plug goes to ground on battery.
3). Now, where does the WHITE, ORANGE, and the RED wire go?
Please explain this to me in the easiest terms possible.
Are some of these spliced?
Thanks for all your help guys.
A big thanks to twinsaabs.com and Kevin for all the useful info. I think my next purchase when I get this thing going is the “dawes device” that’s mentioned.
Thanks again.
