Miss my springs

I had been doing lots of experiments with springs on the 9-3 and ended up with the Viggen springs. I'm through changing the front springs but I sure do miss the uprated ones that I used. The Eibachs were a great mix of handling and comfort (no track car but certain improvement) and the B&Gs handled well but I had to avoid those large bumps/frost heaves.
Somebody posted on the 9-3 board with reminded me of something. The stiffer front springs really increase steering feel and confidence and just keep the car more level on sprited driving.
The rear swaybar addition is nice, but then the front tips more than the rear and you get a mushier steering feel when cornering.
I also noticed a reduction in what folks call torque steer around here when using stiffer front springs. Looks like it's really traction steer.
Enough venting from me. If you're on the fence about updating your springs on a 1999 or 2000 9-3, go for it. I hear that the 2002 (2001?) 9-3SE has a sport chassis option that has stiffer springs. I haven't confirmed it but I think it's a great move on Saab's part.
