CEL when going up to 18+ psi, why?

I've posted here about 2 weeks ago stating that whenever I get on the boost really hard and heavy, the Check Engine Light on my 88 9000 T will come on. What normally happens is this: I'll be on the highway doing about 75-80 mph @ 3,000 rpms in 5th. Then as I approach my favorite hill and punch it til it reads 18+ psi while climbing that hill, by the time I get up to say 95 mph or there abouts, the CEL comes on. As soon as I back off and my speeds decrease the light goes out/away. I'm kinda puzzled though cause I don't know if it's SPEED/RPM or BOOST related. I know that when the car was less moded in the past and I saw maybe 13-15 psi max, it still did the same thing and always right around 95 mpg once I've punched it pretty good. I've never kept my foot in it long enough to see if the light goes out after a few seconds as the speed and boost continue to climb/stabilize as I always back off. I've also noticed that if I reach those speeds/boost gradually vs quickly, it doesn't come on. Some one here suggested I replace the 02 sensor, and I did that when I put on the complete JT Exhaust, still happens though.
Any Ideas?
Thanks again,
Phil
