I can appreciate the argument you have but, I tell you man these tires just don't do it like they should be doing. If what your saying was true, then all high end sports cars would corner like crap, and we both know that ain't true. I've driven in alot of then and although they can ride alot more on the sriff side than my SAAB does, they still take curves and turns as if on rails. I once owned a 1997 VW Jetta GLX VR6, 5 speed. Either way I dropped that car with Bilsteins sport struts/shocks and Intrax Super Sport Springs(2.25 inches)and 17x7.5 rims with Nitto NT450 Extreme tires(40 series). What a ride that was, yes it was firm, very firm but the GRIP that car had when pushed to the limits was unlike no other car I've ever driven/riden in. That thing could take those cloverleafs(circle shaped exit/on ramps)at 60+ mph without a hint of sliding/or whatever. It was fun to see my pax just slide to the other side of the car while doing this. Tha SAAB can do this do I tell you. So that explains why Intrax springs are getting fitted next week, and then those Kuhmo's are coming off of there cause they simply don't cut it like I said. Perhaps's I'll go back to Pirelli P-Zero's like I had a few months ago. If they can hold a Porsche 911 to the road, I'm sure they can handle my SAAB..
See Ya,
Phil
