Saab 9-3 Rear spring Install with Eibachs

Looks funny....
So yeah, by buddy and I installed the rear springs last night. Rears are super easy. My spring of choice were the Eibachs. Here's what we did:
*Lift the rear of the car up on either side with 2 floor jacks so that the tires are off the ground. Now the suspension will be fully extended to as far as the shock will extend. Use jackstands when/where ever possible as a failsafe.
*Remove rear wheels. (crack the bolts before raising)
*Get the jack out of the trunk and place it unter the trailing arms where there is a nice place to support. Raise that jack just enough to see the axle raise up a bit.
*Find another jack of similar size (Your friends saab jack will do fine. I used my friends VW jack)
*Unbolt the shock from the axle. Do the same to the other side
*Slowly let the saab/VW/whatever jacks down and watch the trailing arm (axle) drop. Don't worry, the springs will not boing out at you. Let the jack all the way down and then you'll see how the spring can just be pulled out with your hands
* !!!Make sure your floor jacks are sturdy and use jackstands as a failsafe!!!
*Next, You will need to re-use those little mushroom-lookin rubber insulators that come out with the spring. Don't try and pull them out the obvious way, you'll just get frustrated. We lubed them up with soap and folded the edges up like a taco and pushed it through the center of the spring. it was then easy (easier, I should say) to pull the mushrooms out the side of the spring. What makes it hard is the mushrooms have a little lip right on the tip which the spring fits nicely into. So trying to get the spring over the lip was a loosing battle. Pushing it through the center of the spring was much more productive.
*Now, lube up the mushrooms (I know there's a correct, technical word for these things, errr) with soap again and stick them through your new springs. Hopefully you didn't rash them up that much trying to get them out. I don't think they are expensive, should you need new ones.
*Carfully place the new springs back in their perches on the car. They should loosely fit in. (if yer a freak like me, I turned the "Eibach" label outwards so one could see it.)
*Take your saab/VW/whatever jack and raise the axle up, little by little, carefuly watching the axle rise. Line up the springs on their perches as you go. The torsion bar will raise the other side as well, so keep an eye on it and make sure it's all lined up.
*Raise the axle to about the height of the fuly extended position of the shock and re-install the shock. Make sure the bolt lines up correctly. I had some trouble with it.
*Once both shocks are bolted back up, you can remove the saab/VW/whatever jacks and put the wheels back on.
*While your at it, check your brakes back there. My pads are pretty darn thin, so I'll be upgrading to some aftermarket perf. once with x-drilled rotors. Anyone? Bueler? Suggestions? Sellers?
*Carfully remove any jackstand you may have used, and slowly lower the car with the new springs in there.

Stand back and admire your work.
Tonight, I'll be removing the front struts and taking them and the new springs to my local mech to have him compress and install them on the shocks. I hear that's the dangerous part. I'll let you all know how it goes.

BTW, how do I post a pic? Does anyone wanna see the new stance when I'm done?
Hope this helps some other DIY types.

PS. I got a quote of $640 for springs and install by a local perf. shop. Now, I bought my Eibachs from Shox.com for 219.00 and am doing mos tof the work myself. I'll have to shell out a little more for the strut work, and a minor castor allignment, but that's it! Now, $640? Or more like $300? You be the judge
