yeah, if you like a sporty ride and control, the 45 series are great, imho.
the system is wolf. it's actually from australia. it can be programmed by a hand controller which comes with the kit. you can also hook up a laptop to get real time readouts of all your sensors, your current location in the fuel and timing maps, and the ability to fine tune all parameters. for example: on the hand controller you can set engine temp compensation (which is mapped in relation to engine water temp). this means that while the engine is below operating temp (82C), it will enrich the fuel mixture by your set amount. however, if you use the laptop, you can set the enrichment in 4C steps from 20c or so all the way up to 200c. you just get more control w/the laptop, but i got the car up an running with the hand controller.
as far as ease of installation, i chose to get the car going with the stock dist as the trigger and run batch fired injection for now. to go to sequential (which this system can do), you need a crank sensor or a dist which give a reference for tdc on #1. i decided that the stock dist was the easiest to begin with. the rest of the stock components, aic, bcv, tps, etc. all work with the system so you don't need to get extra stuff. the only change in needed to make was the t.b. because of the tps. the stock 2.0l engine tps is a switch, on and off. however, the stock 2.1l tps is a potentiometer which actually measures the position of the throttle. the wolf system needs the potentiometer to determine enrichment rate on acceleration. unfortnately, the 2.1 tps does not mount on the 2.0l t.b. so, i grabbed a 2.1l tb with the switch and it was ready to go.
i'll spare you with any more details unless you ask. but the system has been good to me so far. i saw a huge increase in power and smoothness over stock. but you can get that with any system which has similar features. i can tell you that the help from wolf has been great. they even had me send them my maps to help out with issues i was having early on. and the customer support thing is a big deal to me on something like this.
anyway, hope this helps. let me know if you need more.
