and makes a lot more sense to do! Ummmm...put in a turbo motor? don't forget some other items, like ECU's, intercoolers, exhaust....get the picture? the 'turbo motor' is only part of the equation. By the time you were done with the changeover, you will have spent enough to get an actual turbo car, along with all the turbo goodies, leather, etc.
If you want a turbo, get a turbo car. If you want your car back on the road for the minimal amount of money and hassle, yank the head off, have it redone at a reputable machine shop, preferably one that does a lot of import cars, they don't get all jammed up when they have to clearance a bucket type follower like on a saab. saab 16-valve cylinder heads are very stout and worth rebuilding...plus, when you get a used engine, you have no idea what the history is....better the #@*&%$#*$# you know!
