Is it accepted that with an increasein performnace comes an increase in breakage?
No one really talks much about the damage being done in the process of working some systms of the car harder than fact spec.. .
F'rinstance, talking a corner at higher speeds certainly does it share of damage to the tires, but what about all the other pieces in the link? Does the added speed and associated forces have the same impact on the bushings in the steering and suspension rack(S)? or is a tight system not seeing anay significant wear, and a sloppy systme is seeing tons of wear?
What affect does rapid acceleration have on the CV joints and inner driver?.. I would asuem that the older they are the more damge gets done due to misalignment and sloopy fit, but does it really wear a new part much? What about the shocks? Do they really care how fast the corner is taken? and on and on,.. just thought it would make a good thread...
