9000 fuel rail for a 900

I was looking at a 9000 this weekend and saw the fuel rail.
It seems much bigger than the 900 version.
Has anyone tried to mount a 9000 fuel rail to a 900?
The 1 end has a banjo fitting similar to 900, but the fuel regulator looks a bit different than on 900's.
Any thoughts or am I entering uncharted territory?
