You are basicly correct on all counts. Though we do see power increases on SAAB's because detonation is controled and the systems automaticly raise or keep bost up and timing is brought back to the most advance position on the trionic on up system. But as you said timing or boost have tobe raised to make more power. We are also increasing the amount of air being pumped in even if we do not raise the boost because the cooling effect of the water evapurating will shrink the air causing the turbo to put more in to maintain specified boost. On Grand Prix with supercharges that have pulleys to make 16psi the boost will drop to 13psi. Still moving the same amount of air because of the design its just cooler and more dense.
