Have been rading anything that I can find on this site re APC mods.. Lotsa good info stored in there ;-)
Question is about the Press. Transducer and the placing of a resistor accross it's terminals to effect a slight boost increase. There are several Conflicting statements re the Reistance Value to use.. Kevin K sez 430 to 530 ohms, others say 50 ohms and one sed 10 ohms.
I'm confused here.. as I would think the attempt/puorpose is to fool the APC circuitry into believing that the pressure read, (via the resistance at whatever PSI)is a bit lower than what is really there... So following that logic and Ohms Law, adding another Resitance in Parallel would half the resistance total of the two.. resulting in a reduced reading to the APC circuit.
BUT adding in a 400 or 500 ohm resistor does NOT do that... Am I missing something completely or did Kevin K miss-state this recomendation??
Any enlightenment would be happily recieved.
