Eric asked about this in a previous thread....

It is mounted beneath the bumper behind a Foha bumper mount air dam. Here is a the link to a picture of the air dam/IC.

The routing for the intake was easy once I rotated the compressor housing to face down. (No wastegate to worry about). A hole saw was used to cut the holes through the metal work beneath the engine. A box of misc. saab hoses were used to make all the bends. IC intake has three slight bends and the outlet into the throttle body has just two. It has worked out quite well for a 99 but I don't think it would fit as well as a 9000 IC in a c900. Getting rid of the stock IC has been a huge improvement on torque and throttle response. Stock unit is a heat soak and a cork!

The IC in addition to the modified 2.1 head, 16 lb. flywheel and lower compression has improved the performance of the car significantly. Despite dropping c.r. to 8.1 I actually have improved low end response and less turbo lag. I don't have any numbers yet but I will say that torque has jumped significantly and detonation is no longer an issue.

The only remaining issue is a tiny leak in the copper gasket. It seems to be responding to a treatment of Bars leak sealer. If I can't get it to seal completely then I am going to a stock gasket. I have done the head twice now without success. Yes, the block is o-ringed.
