Once the pressure will lift the spring loaded ball off of its seat, air begins to flow. The bleed orifice allows this flow to occur, like a current in an electrical circuit. The ball and seat provide the flow resistance to develop the pressure drop.
So this works very well and eliminates much of the boost lag created by the bleed valve nature of the BPC valve.
So you can use it to increase the boost, but boost will be the same in every gear. If you want to keep the APC working, which might be important for a C900, but seems to be an non issue with a T5, then connect as follows. Put the MBC inline to the input of the BPC valve, and block the bleed port on the MBC. This will allow the BPC to do what it has aways done, but it will greatly improve the turbo spool up as the actuator will not be cracking open early and spilling exhaust energy whcih the turbine needs. The PBC's bleed valve will take care of your other concerns. Note that this will improve turbo spool up, but will not increase boost. Depending on how you adjust it, there might be some increase in boost for the 1st and 2nd gear with a T5.
