Shock/Spring suggestions for 9-3 base,1-1.5 in drop

...and a firm, but not totally harsh ride.
My friend has a Honda Civic SI, and he put on Integra Type R springs, and Bilstein HD shocks...the springs lowered him about 1 inch. I like that look, not too low, but just enough to look a tad more agressive, and it handles great. He says he has a tad of hop though and maybe should have went with the Bilstein Sports.
What springs can you suggest for the 9-3, that'd drop it about an inch (the base 9-3 sits high, I guess I could take up to a 1.5 inch drop). I basically wanna close that silly wheel well gap, but I don't want the tires actually tucked inside. And what shock would you suggest to go with it. I'd like to get Bilsteins...the question is HD, or Sports.
I still have the stock 15' wheels...would they look silly on a slightly lowered car? I also may do the SAS bar. I don't have the $$ for new rims and tires yet.
Thanks for any suggestions.
