Turbos never had 2.4.2, and never had a potentiometer. It may be that the code you're looking at simply refers to the throttle position sensor in general - a potentiometer for 2.4.2 cars and a switch for 2.2/2.4 cars. That would be my guess.
Did you test yours to verify it was working? Actually, how did you hook it up to the throttlebody? In my musings I expected to use the A/C and Idle microswitches attached to the throttlebody on an h-motor car to serve the same purpose as an LH TPS... is this what you did? If you don't have one, that could be the problem. You don't *need* the WOT position on the TPS to work, but the idle/not idle switch most certainly does.
