If you want to increase the power of you 9-3 I would suggest you first buy a exhaust system. Saab makes an sport exhaust system for around $400 this would be a nice addition. Secondly I think it is important for you to buy a new high flow air filter.
After buying the air filter and exhaust I think your now ready for the ECU upgrade or boost controller. It is important for you to have the air filter and exhaust to help the car breath better with the new increased power without these upgrades your car will not being getting the full benifits of the ECU or boost controller. Now where can you buy these? I would try http://www.Abbottracing.com, or http://www.Maptun.com. The advantage at Maptun is that they already have Kits for your car ranging from 230hp-400hp.
Now that you have the power you will need the handling. I would suggest getting the Viggen rescue kit from abbott this will help your car feel more stable at high speed and allow for a decreased torque steer and better handling.
If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask for Dean he could explain the advantages of these mods much better then I.
