Water Injection System Intalled & Operational

Hey everyone
Well this water injection project has finally paid off.
Just to refresh you guys...
My NOS Powershot fuel solenoid didn't work up to expectation, so I bagged that peice. Only worked 50% of the time. Going to sell it to some ricer on eBay. I got another Skinner(?) solenoid, and it has 3/64" inch orifaces, so I needed a 1/8" to 3/64" adapter... not too common. Put me in a tough spot.
As Upiba said, the 100PSI SHURflo pump I'm using has an in demand built in check valve, so no water escapes when the pump isn't activated. I asked Brad if I really needed a solenoid... normally I would, but since the pump has the built in check valve, he said a solenoid might be overkill. So I'm skipping the solenoid for now. I'll buy the Aquamist solenoid when I get back from college this winter, just for extra peice of mind.
Anyway... I don't have any real numbers yet. But here's my results so far...
I tested the system in the driveway, jumping the two posts on the 4PSI pressure switch. The Aquamist nozzle was removed from the hole in the intercooler, so I could see & feel the results. It atomized the water nicely. A very fine mist. Just like the Aquamist system does. Not bad.
Took my car out for a spin. Big improvment! H2Whooooaaaa. I watched my aftermarket boost gauge, and as soon as it hits 4PSI, you can feel the system kick in. In 5th gear, the boost gauge stays pinned in the red.
I have the system fused, so maybe tomorrow, I'll remove the fuse, and get some boost numbers with & without the water injection.
If you're interested in water injection for your car, give Brad @ Georges Imports a call. You'll love what it does for your car. As WASSAAB said, it also should have been my first upgrade.
Happy SAABing
