"I just cant seem to figure out why people will put soooo much money into a NA Saab."
You presume he spent a lot of money on it, and imply that people who have turbo cars don't put a lot of money into theirs. plenty of posters here have dropped thousands into their turbo cars.
"If you have an option to get a turbo then why waist time to build an inherently slow car?"
How is a SAAB with 270 hp "inherently slow," and a waste of time?
"(I think the s stands for slow as I have owned one and tried to make it fast with very little success)"
This little parenthetical statement reveals precisely why you are you down on his car...
"I have not been in the "Meatball" "
Then how can you say anything about it?
"but the name, to me, just implies that it is about as fast as anyone after a big Italian dinner..."
My guess is that the Meatball would blow the doors off of your turbo car faster than you can say, "pass the linguini."
"just my 2¢"
And mine, too.
The thing I like most about the Meatball is that it's the owner's first SAAB, and he's had if for less than a year iirc. and it will shut down most cars owned by posters on this board. that likely includes yours. next time he posts ("900S"), ask him how he did it - i bet he'd be glad to tell you all the details. i myself would love to learn more about it.
