Yes, common on the three Dyno Days I've been to. :)

That is, common to guesstimate drivetrain losses to get some sort of idea at what crank HP/torque would be. The only reason I had issue with yours is that they just seeemd high from what our dyno operator or Saab shop owner has said, which seemed closer to 10-15%.
I just had decided to err on the low side of losses, that way when I go spouting off how much power/torque my car has, I might be low, but I am not exaggerating it. :) If it really is as high as 20%, my car deserves a lot more credit! I do find it very hard to believe that I could actually be at 250 HP and 300 lb/ft of torque at the crank though, based on my meager modifications.
Oh, for reference, a '95 9000 Aero (stock, manual) dyno'd at 209 HP and 257 lb/ft. At 20% loss, that'd be 261 HP and 321 lb/ft of torque at the crank, which sounds extremely high considering Saab only rates it at 225/258. I mean sure they may be underrated, but that's huge!
