Remember that the BPC valve is a bleeder valve. A bleeder valve does not have a one way check valve. So a return hose for the air bleed to atmosphere is vented back to the air box area.
With a ball-spring MBC you can vent without a hose, because the MBC is also a one way valve.
If you installed a dawes upstream of a BPC, you could vent the BPC directly without a return hose.
If you had a dawes on the return line, then the BPC bleeder would not flowuntil the boost was high enough to open the dawes. So until you reached that pressure, you would be locked into base boost of the actuator setting it self. So the BPC would not reduce pressures at all. So with low boost pressure, you would not get enough pressure to open the MBC and nothing much would happen. If you softened up the dawes to open before base boost, then I don't know what would happen, but I assume that you would not like the result. I think that you would get boost lag, more than stock. The ECU and BPC would be fighting against any gains in boost.
