Thanks for the reply.
I'm still a little nervous because I run the pressures about as high as I can without making them slippery. Anything more, and they get real loose. I know they would do better at lower pressures (hotter on the outside), but even at the 40+ pressures, I will run about half way up on the sidewall (fronts) during bad (overshot) corners. Wish I could adjust camber on the Viggen....
I like the Sport Cups a lot, but since these are my first set of R-compounds, I really don't have much to judge against. I can tell you that I did drive them in a SoloII event during a torential downpour. They did absolutely fantasic. Judging from the car (and the workers chasing his cones) behind me, they stick in the wet much better than the slick Hoosiers. Expensive, but they were only $30/tire more than the Hoosier at the time. I also drive them to and from the local events (20miles round trip).
What were your impressions of them? I've never seen/talked to anyone else running them...
BTW: I was thankful for the Saab ergonomics since the downpour caught me about 1/4 into the coarse and I had to roll up all four windows, turn-on the wipers, left foot brake and steer all while negiotiating the track. Still amazed it was my second best run...
Later,
Chris Fisher
