Be carefull if the car in question is street driven.... a full cage or even a roll bar may seem like a good saftey device on the street... BUT without a helmet think about the pain and damage the bars could do to your head.... even with padding it would HURT..... If you want a good harness but not the cage/bar look into the DOT approved hanesses from Schroth... I am putting one of them in my dedicated Autocross car (a datsun not a saab). They even have a version that has an inertia reel so you can still move arround on the street to reach things but then pin lock the reel for track use.... finnal added bonus it that with the Fast and Furious street race croud using harnesses alot Police are now giving tickets for non DOT belts... I have heard such stories form auto-x people cali to my neck of the woods (atlanta ga).... I used to want a roll bar in my old street driven GTI but age and a wife changed that plan....
