ben, it seems on the Bosch LH 2.4 system, the overboost is controlled in the ECU. So, the biggest trick is to "fool" the ECU so that it does not rob us of power. In Brad's experience, 30 lb injectors with the 300 Ohm resitor work great with the stock 2.5 bar FPR. He said it is unlikely that a 3.0 bar FPR or RRFPR will be needed. These will usually make it run too rich.

With a 2.5 bar FPR, 30 lb injectors and the 300 Ohm resistor, fuel delivery is pretty much set and quite good. The problem then really becomes to control the charge air temp to prevent detonation. Only 3 ways to control charge air temp:
1.) Intercooler
2.) Chargecooler
3.) Water injection

I've heard bad things about the Abbott chargecooler, so that leaves me with options 1 and/or 3.

For option 1 IC, since I want A/C, I have not got a better place to locate a larger IC, so I have to move more air through the one I have. I have not been impressed with the use of fiat radiator fans mounted up against the IC for IC fans. Brad has a nice IC fan that sits back from the IC with a fan shroud around the IC and moves over 400 CFM. This would probably be quite effective in city driving when accelerating hard from light to light.

As for the water injection, this is really going to help at the top end of the RPM band.

It is likely that I will put the IC fan on since it will yeild the most benefit for my daily driver, then see how it goes and possibly opt for water injection down the road. After pushing in 20 psi of decent temp air, my problem will likely shift to too much exhaust pressure.

As for other mods, I'm putting a modified vacuum advance unit on also (from Brad).

P.S. If you want to split some Summit Racing 30# injectors, email me.
