Should be the same in your car as mine, the harness which comes off the O2 sensor plugs into the main harness back under the intake manifold on the passenger side. I spliced into the proper wire oh maybe 6-8" from that harness plug, it's not a hot area at all, regular electrical tape will suffice (though I always also use fully insulated disconnects, so the tape isn't even strictly necessary).
There are three wires on the O2 sensor. The signal one is the one that's different, which as I recall should be black, and the two white ones are for the preheater.
I ran the wire just as Mr.SPG said, went through a little hole where the A/C lines run, and then easily back behind the glovebox.
