lumpy at full boost

Ok, so lumpy is an odd term, but I can't think of anything else. I just hiked up the boost a bit on my car (to about 17-18 from 15, using P&F) now that the new turbo (td05-16g) has settled in a bit.
At WOT and full boost (say, 3700rpms 17-18lbs of boost, nice cold weather, probably a bit rich, 10-11 deg advance hit at 15lbs via bleed limited BTM) I'm getting a bit of a lumpy feel. It's kinda like the feeling of bad motor mounts on accel and decel, but the motor mounts look fine (driver's side replaced a few months ago. No real motor jump with hood open, parking break on, bit of gas while letting out the clutch in 2nd). I've considered knock, but the APC (SPG9 Stage 2) doesn't cut back the boost. It's just a bit of a pulsation of power.
Maybe the motor is missing? The plug gaps (7evs or whatever) are set to .8mm. Is that too wide? Doesn't seem like it should be...
Anyway, it's a bit curious and makes me really not want to floor it for fear something is wrong.
KevinK and others, is it maybe that my P & F adjustments are out of whack? Is there a combination of P & F settings that you guys have done that exhibited this type of behaviour?
