Nology wires incorporate "technolgy" (aka capacitors) into them, which surely raise the cost of production. I doubt a couple caps justify their price tag, but they're a specialized item, so it's not surprising. I've never seen any conclusive data which suggests they improve performance in any tangible way except from SPS, but I'm not sure I trust them anyway.
I use Magnecores on every car I own, been very happy with them. I don't think they offer, in reality, any performance above or beyond a good quality "regular" wire such as Bougicords, but they do offer better radio noise suppression and do last longer. I've had them on my 9000T for 60,000 miles without a hint of degradation - better than any set of Bougicords I've used. Regardless, they have a lifetime warranty - given how long Saabs seem to last, I'm inclined to believe I'll get my money's worth. :)
Thinking about it, I lied. I have Accel wires on my 5-door (on its 16v). They're blue, they seem nice. They were already on the transplant motor, so I don't know how miles they have on them... I've only added a couple thousand since the swap.
