Viggen Torque Limits (long)

Hi,
We're having a discussion about the 1st and 2nd gear torque limits on the Viggens. Please, neglect the Wheelspin/Strength discussions for a moment.
Going in deep with a Tech II, can you remove ONLY these torque limits on the OEM ECU WithOut swapping ECUs, such as is done on our door locks and other programmable features? I have had my 'up-shift' light de-programmed. So I have a sneaking suspicion this is the same with the torque limits as soooo much of the car can be tweaked with these wonderful tools.
I have also heard that Tech II's can be used to do on-the-fly engine monitoring/diagnosis and adjustments if things aren't in spec (a la Fast and the Furious), lending further belief in the theory.
I guess it wouldn't be bad if it felt like it was just a limit to peak boost, but from the seat of the pants it feels as if the fuel maps and throttle response feel very different also.
What do you folks think?
later,
tony
