Yes that is correct. The steering geometry is changed when the car is lowered. Usually when you buy a kit it will come with the proper specs. or sometimes it just says stay with stock specs. So yes they are telling you the truth. But for the most part the only adjustment possible on a 9000 is the toe. So if the camber is out from the lowering you can either make the upper strut mounting holes slotted or live with it.
