VRK-related Question (sorta long)

Let me start off by saying that I'm less than a novice when it comes to performance tuning a car.
I have an '01 Viggen (stock other than K&N drop-in) so I'm participating in the group buy for the steering rack clamp and brace as posted here. I will most likely have this installed first without any of the other VRK parts (unless someone tells me this is a bad idea).
For future upgrades, I also know that I can buy the various poly-urethane bushings in the classifieds, but my car only has 13K miles on it so no hurry there. Looking at the other parts of the Abbott kit (support arm bearings, stainless steel subframe brace), is there an alternative or should I get these from ScanWestAuto (nice folks, already spoke to them on the phone)? Should I be in any kind of hurry to put the other bits on or will I notice significant improvement just through the installation of the steering rack clamp and brace?
Thanks for the free education!
