I would think this more probable (high load, high speed). Extended runs with mine have not made the LED bling as long as I have run it with the advance as I have it currently. WOT to about 120 or so MPH. I have been giving this project (replacing the sensor) a bit more thought... It is an absolute pressure sensor currently. It is rated at 15 psia (or ~1 atma). Well, at rest, there is 15 PSIA on the port! Idling is ~ 0 PSIa or a bit more. end of white is rated pressure and mid red is 2x rated pressure! I take this to mean that it is always being used ABOVE its rated pressure which I question the logic of. I'll have to pop it open and see how the LT1013 is being used and see what sort of modifications may be possible. It may be easier to electrically modify the circuit in the MSD (pressure signal portion) than to just replace the pressure transducer with a differential unit, though I would be interested in seeing what that does.
