last weekend i dynoed my 95 900SE (Abbott ECU, viggen IC, 3" downpipe and TD04 turbo) and got a rather disappointing 188 WHP and 209 ftlb.
Went back to the dyno today, after shortening the 10 psi wastegate to its minimum length (one and a half full turns shorter than last week). The car felt faster and certainly spooled up to full boost faster however...the maximum horsepower and torque were unchanged from the week before...virtually identical numbers and this time I floored it to redline without hesitation.....nice cool 32F air through a big fan in front of the car.
At 2700 rpm however torque was up 50 ftlb (200 vs 150) and power up 25 WHP (105 vs 80).
The dynojet was a model 240.
Brad last week mentioned that perhaps the speed sensor on the stationary back wheel might be limiting boost to first gear levels during the test......certainly during the dyno test the spedometer didn't move...only the tach and boost gauge.
Will install my SQR ECU and head back to the dyno next weekend for another test.... have been running 94 octane gas
In spite of the perhaps low numbers the car sweems to run great.
