I think I've tried a mess of plugs over time. The ones I'm happiest with are Beru Silverstone (S3F)... they seem to last forever, put out great spark, and are really expensive. IPS (http://www.importpartssspec.com) carries them for Saabs. I usually "cheap out" and buy NGKs, because I can get them locally. I get the gold palladium ones (EV, not ES), but when I can plan it's Beru. I've also run Torquemasters, which seriously rocked but were really expensive and took forever to get, and didn't last too long. Good plug for power though - as they were in my SPG I never really paid attention to fuel economy anyway. I've run Bosch Platinum and Platinum +4s, I would never run them again. The regular ones seem to do alright in the 8v cars, but there is a tangible difference in performance (it seems) between them and NGK plugs on 16v cars. The +4 plugs are just crap... even my roommate's Saturn didn't like them. Also tried Autolite Platinums, which are by far and away my choice for a cheap plug. Idle was great, mileage acceptable, and power good... not as nice as NGKs, but at the price impossible to beat. I think I've tried one other plug, but can't for the life of me remember what it is... If I do, I'll post back.
