Been trying to research which brakes would work for upgrade and have received alot of conflicting info, although Ubipa's sight is right on accurate, Excellent info and pictures. I'm going to post what I found in my Haynes 9000 manual for future ref. so there is no more confusion:
Brake info:
9000 turbo -87,Na -89,C900 88-
DISCS- VENTILATED,278 MM, THICKNESS NEW 23.5 MM
CALIPERS- GIRLING
TYPE COLETTE 54
PISTON DIA. 54MM
PAD THICKNESS NEW--16.7MM
9000 TURBO 87-,NA 89- ( THESE ARE THE "UPGRADE" BRAKES)
DISCS- VENTILATED, 278MM, THICKNESS NEW 25.OMM
CALIPER- ATE
TYPE- FN 57
PISTON DIAMETER- 57MM
PAD THICKNESS NEW 19.5MM
THIS INFO. IS STRAIGHT OUT OF HAYNES 9000MANUAL AND MATCHES MY MEASUREMENTS OF MY C900T BRAKES. I FIND THE HAYNES MANUAL TO BE AN EXCELLENT SOURCE OF TECH. INFO FOR THE 900'S AS WELL. GIVES ALL TORQUE VALUES AND OFFERS MORE INSIGHT INTO REBUILDING -VS- REPLACING.
