classic model apc stuff Posted by Kevin K [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Attn: Kevin K, Tim S., Mon, 26 Feb 2001 23:57:26 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
see my notes on apc at Dave N's site. the apc already delays significant control pressure up to mabe 5 psi, where the default duty cycle kicks in.
I think there is a way of re-routing the apc solenoid, and using a 'hallman' type relief controller for optimum boost rise, with minimal over shoot. a fixed resistor (mabe 40 ohm)in place of pressure sensor would keep apc in default cycle mode, and knock would now result in the sol-vale allowing a bypass around the hallman valve to the wg actuator ... with a bleed off type needle valve trim to dial in cut back. More work than I want to do!
Make sure you defeat the oem retard, and use your 6A-BTM fully for retard, for best response and faster initial boost rise. see my notes at Jeff C's site. a releif valve (dawesdevices.com I think) can be teed into the boost line to the 6A-BTM to stop retard at mabe 14 psi, if youare a high booster.
