& played with them till I got 15 lbs base boost the reason for this is that with the same turbine & housing but a bigger compressor making more boost my wastgate was blowing open under high boost so a higher base boost is needed to keep it shut
the other reason to do this is to increase boost if you raise base boost the controlled boost will be higher especially if the P & F pots are turned up in the APC
what I did was to put one end of the spring through the cotter pin hole in the actuator arm & at first ran the other end hooked to the lip on the actuator pot than I made a bracket to hold the end of the spring on the pot side
this works great & saves you the $70 or more you will pay for a higher pressure WG actuator
