I don't have a T7 or T8 but I can tell you that my custom Hirsch chip has the top speed limiter removed. Having it removed will not change the hp output of the engine, it will just let it rev as high as it can in top gear, whereas a car with a limiter will hit a predetermined speed and stay there. In the case of my 1999 9-3, if I remember correctly, the limit was 235 kph or about 146 mph. Hirsch gave me the option of removing the limiter, and now my car will push slightly past 250 kph or about 155 mph. So I would say it would be safe to assume that other tuners can remove this limit and if they figure out the T7 and T8, they came probably do it on those as well. In fact, I think Hirsch raises the limit on the Viggen to 260 kph on their 280 hp version versus the 250 kph on the 250 hp version.
