Well, seeing as you're in the southwest, you want an upgrade
and you're posting this on the performance board, I'd say remove
the exhaust restriction and lower your EGT's with a 3" turbo back
exhaust. That'll set you back at least $500 in parts. Then, I'd
change the the front control arm bushings and maybe the
steering rack bushings, too. I'd change all the rubber
vacuum control lines for the APC/BPV circuit, an upgrade would
be to use silicone - they last longer and are aesthetically nicer.
If you have any money left over, then you could start thinking
reprogramming of the ECM - I think all mid-'93's sold in the 'states,
of which the Aero is definitely included, were T5's, which is, essentially, the same on all later 9000's. Be forwarned: once
you start adding 'performance', ie., torque/hp, then there'll be
other interrelated items that'll become issues. Pressure
plate, intercooler, BPV, etc., etc., come readily to mind! Oh,
don't forget intake restriction - a K&N or some other less
restrictive yet efficient filter seems to be a pretty sensible item to include BEFORE doing the ECM.
