I considered the Sachs sport clutch, but I could not get the part in time. My mechanic is in the process of installing the new transmission right now. The Kevlar disc was warranteed, including labor, for one year as long as the torque was not much over 300 ft lbs at the wheels. This is 420nm rolling road dyno if you are in Europe.

I felt this was a good warranty, and if I get slippage, I'll just replace with the Sachs unit.

We don't have 94 octane out here in Arizona. Bo, Engstrom, assured me that 91 would work fine with the modified Trionic unit. He has customers out in California running this CPU with no problems. This car is a daily driver, and won't see any track time. You can't keep your foot in to too long on public roads.

Prior to needing a sedan, I modified my 89 944 Turbo (2.5 8V 4 cyl turbo) to 330 wheel hp using 91 octane fuel. Purchased a M3, and missed the turbo torque "rush". Test drove Audi S4, 9-5 Aero, and a 95 9000 Aero.

Purchased the 95 Aero to modify and have fun for a couple of years. Really nice car for the money. Under $12,000 US with 60K miles, full records, and all original paperwork. I liked the 9000 Aero more than the 9-5. It could have been the $20,000 US difference in price. Like the sleeper aspect. It's fun being a surprise.

Regards,

George
