My SPG started slipping under boost when I got the T5 installed and running well. The clutch is/was a stock 215mm (8.5") "turbo" clutch with 65k miles on it, not the fresh 1yr old clutches you guys are having trouble with. Power output is probably comparable though.
I called Gary at SD and after specifying that I wanted ONLY the disc replaced, we came up with another 8.5" disc with uprated hub springs, carbon base friction material with kevlar weave and 4% copper thread fill. It promises to be long lasting with smooth engagement and nice bite. It is NOT installed yet but this is something you guys might want to consider, if you don't want the full copper clutch. As always, you must have a pristine flywheel surface and pp to get maximum lock-up and best performance!
