Ryan,
Yep, it has a flexible rubber extension/tube coming out of the bottom of the breather. Once you remove all the stock parts, there will just be that big hole in the valvecover. That little extension/tube just pops into the hole (oil it up a little to make it slide in). It can be used to clamp onto a hose, but this 'pop in' method works better, and looks better, IMHO.
As instructed by Vince, I bought a 12mm breather filter. Mine is Arospeed, and I bought it from eBay. But, for my cousin's 89 900S, we went to a local Pep Boys and bought the cheap-o AIC version, and it fits just the same. K&N has a breather too, if you worried about the brand. Since the rubber extension/tube on the end of the breather is flexible, it fits in perfect.
