The 5th injector only opens at boost pressures higher than stock max boost typically (that is when you actually need extra fuel) - which means air velocity is very high. You actually WANT to inject fuel as far away from the throttle plate as possible then, to give the fuel a good chance of mixing with the air (not a very scientific explanation, but it -is- what basic fueling theory says).
For oversize injectors to work as well as the orginals over the complete load/rpm map (idling/light loads/low rpm/etc. - driveability/fuel milegae/emissions) the complete fuel map needs to be reprogrammed to the same standard as the factory did. THEY spent countless hours on the engine test bench - can YOU afford to? Talk to the guys who started from scratch with aftermarket engine management systems it's a long, stony road, which hopefully pays off in the end. You'll need to be very committed to go that route.
That, and on the 8 valves with mechanical K-Jet fuel injection you don't have another choice, really.
Not that much of a difference? If your stock fuel system supports 200 hp, then adding a fifth injector of the same size will support 250 hp. And no one says your fifth injector can't be bigger than the mains. Some additional injector controllers will support up to four extra injectors. For the relative simplicity. low cost, and flexibility of a 5th injector system I'd say the returns are ample.
