The Dynomat made a HUGE difference in road noise. Not the my Saab is as quiet as a Mercedes or Lexus, but the Dynomat really helped.
Working with Dynomat like material really is rather easy. A few simple things really help.
>Plan on the process taking a couple days. Take your time and do it right.
>Remove all the interior panels you can. Think of even removing the seats and carpeting.
>Clean the surfaces you where want to apply the Dynomat with a good degreaser and let dry.
>Pay special attention to Dynomating the interior wheel wells and the hatch floor as a lot of road noise comes for these.
>Lay the Dynomat out in the sun to 'soften' the material. Also a heat gun helps you work the material, to stretch and form it into tight corners.
>Have a utility knife and lots of sharps blades for cutting, along with a couple rollers to adhere the mateial and work it into the shape of the panel.
>While you have the interior panels off, it is a good time to use a rust preventative in the body cavities like Wurth Cavity Wax or undercoating spray. Just be sure not to block any 'weep holes' in the bottom of the doors and hatch.
