Having planned out my budget with my performance "needs" in mind I am seriously considering purchasing Abbot's Viggen Rescue Kit (VRK), and would like to tap the wealth of knowledge on this board for answers to a few questions. I am keeping my stock springs and shocks for now, and will eventually change to Koni or Bilstein shocks. I am in upstate New York.

1. How many people have trashed their subframe braces? I read about some unfortunate events (Dean's towing, garage lifts etc.). Has anyone actually bunged it up while driving? Roads here are bad, and it snows a lot... I was wondering if it's worth leaving this piece off.

2. What do you set the toe-in specs to when you are all done?

3. What is the expected life-span of a polyurethane bushing? Same/better/worse than rubber?

4. What have people's experiences been with ordering? Does it work out better if you order from Abbott directly, ScanWest, or what? How much is shipping, typically?

I am also considering alternatives of course. The essentials from Abbott are the steering rack brace and the roller bearings. If I order just these and source the remaining bushings elsewhere, the prices (minus shipping) are within just a small self-justification of the VRK.

I appreciate any advice!
