I've seen several messages questioning the same problem lately. I recently purchased this vehicle, but at the time did not know where the boost level was supposed to be. After viewing some posts on this site and trying some of the easier/cost effective mods, I was still not satisfied with the performance and questioned where the base boost should be. Mine is only mid way into the yellow. I just had the car in and they could not locate the problem. After attaching a numerical boost gauge, I was told that I am only getting 7psi, but should be more like 11-12. I bought the car from a dealer whose focus is Audis, BMWs, and Porsches, and so far they have been excellent. Recognizing that they are not experts in this area, they made an appointment with a Saab dealer for next Fri. Any ideas on what I might try before then? I have tried the removal of the "c" hose from the boost control solenoid, but immediately hit the fuel cutoff under only part-throttle, so I am assuming that the turbo system itself is fine. It seems to me that it must be some sort of sensor, though. Any thoughts?
Thanks
clayton
