ing some mods that started a couple of weeks ago, I just installed 3.0 FPR,Red APC from S/D, K&N filter, Magnecor Wires, Blue injecters S/D, 300 ohm resistor on "orange" AMM wire, Autometer Lunar gauges (A/F, Oil Pressure, Volts), indiglo gauges, and all new silicon vacuum hoses (red). I had broken a couple of the vacuum fittings on the intake manifold so I ordered some new ones to finish the job this weekend. Ever since I installed all this stuff the idle has been too high so I thought that I had a leak due to the "jimmy" rigged vacuum fittings (while I waited for new ones). I fixed everything today (plus a new waterpump that started leaking over the last week). On the test run, (idle was still high?)I was coming off a ramp on to the highway, the car was running great, it was pulling strong, it sounded great, it was screaming, then there was a loud "POP", and it wasn't running so good. In fact, when I put in the clutch, the engine died on that dark highway (I didn't have a flashlight) . I knew a fitting or something came off, it was the intercooler pipe. I reinstalled it and now the car idles fine. Everything counts! I have re-tightened all the clamps. I hope they hold! I can't believe the difference in performance with just these few mods...
