I built the header; 3/8" mild steel for flanges, Schedule 40 1 1/4" pipe for primaries, 3/16" mild steel for the collector. The header weighs more than the stock manifold, but I do not consider this an issue. Internal volume of each primary is almost exactly 1 1/3 cups, whatever that works out to in cc's.

I did get a 3" down pipe with the ebay engine, which I have used in a different car. I honestly feel that the header with the T3 vent to the atmosphere makes a bigger improvement.

Keep in mind, that dyno run was from what I had hoped to be a tuning session with the SDS, boost never exceeded 6 psi. I had an intermitant misfire, that I decided had nothing to do with the SDS program, this turned out to be a bad plug wire.

I use a two stage boost controller, 6 psi and 12 psi. This consists of two home made Dawes devices, a solenoid to switch between the two, and a relay operated by a switch on top of the shift knob. I do not feel that my horsepower and torque numbers are much different, now that the plug wires have been replaced, when using the 6 psi setting, but now its totally smooth.

The car can be more than a handful, to put it mildly. I mostly drive it with 6 psi boost, which makes it manageable. On the high boost setting I can not floor it in an upper gear at low rpms, when the boost hits, either the tires spin or the clutch lets loose.

The clutch pressure plate and disk are Clutchnet products. The pressure plate is supposed to be 40% stronger, I have my doubts, the disk is the kevlar composite. The clutch will hold when running hard through the gears, but will sometimes slip in the situation mentioned above.
