yeah. Actually did quite a bit of testing on that setup. Atomisation is a big problem. It's very tricky to setup, too low of pressure:bad mist; too high of pressure:injector locks up. Big problem is that most stainless injectors have very high flowrates b/c of the ethanol:gas ratio. Bigger the injector, greater the pressure required to achieve good atomization, but greater the pressure more flow = too much water.

So what does this mean. The diy h2o "fuel" injector setup isn't really suited for the small displacement 4cyl setup. And ofcourse the setup is very tempermental w/ pressure changes.

Another idea, which I think is more promissing. Is to use the injector as just a valve, not for atomization. Disk style injectors do not really atomize but shoot a straight stream out. So the idea is to use a high flow (~500cc/min) stainless steel disk style injector w/ steel ends. Then thread or weld on "instant tube" fittings on each end. So basically using the injector like the inline Aquamist HSV and connect the out line to an atomizizing nozzle. Problem w/ this is that injectors like this are really expensive!! It's just easier to buy an Aquamist HSV for $150. Plus nothing beats the ease of installing the Aquamist HSV and nozzle. Their nozzles are probably the most practical considering flowrates.
